Job summary

Taylor's Education Group is seeking a Data & Analytic Engineer in Malaysia to drive analysis and provide business insights for university operations. You will perform data extraction, cleaning, structuring, and analysis primarily using SQL, generate reports, and present insights to users.

You will collaborate with a team and report to the project team. The role requires 3+ years of data analytics experience, strong SQL skills, and expertise with multiple DBMS and ETL tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant data analytics experience and dashboard development.
• Proficient in SQL with ability to write and optimize queries.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Practical ETL experience, e.g., Pentaho ETL.
• Experience with data warehouses and dimensional modeling.
• Strong visualization skills using Power BI, DAX, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data collection and analysis processes for actionable insights.
• Extract and cleanse data from the data warehouse using SQL and transformations.
• Manage large datasets to support business strategy and operations.
• Define KPIs and monitor performance progress across projects.
• Analyze trends and identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Automate reporting workflows to deliver timely insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Design, maintain, and automate reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of tasks and findings.
