Job summary

Talentbank Group in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking a Data Analyst to collect, analyse, and interpret data to support decision-making. You will design dashboards using Power BI and Excel, and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.

The role requires at least 2 years’ experience, a degree in Statistics/Math/CS, and a strong eye for detail. You will collaborate with IT and other departments to drive data-driven growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis or related role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g. SQL).
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Excel, Google Looker Studio or similar software.
• Strong understanding of database management and statistical analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of machine learning or predictive analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Management: Gather data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
• Data Analysis & Interpretation: Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business objectives.
• Reporting & Visualisation: Develop clear, visually engaging dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and Excel.
• Cross-functional: Work with other departments and IT/data engineering teams to ensure data integration and project success.
• Quality Assurance: Perform regular data audits to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Market & Performance Insights: Analyse trends to identify growth opportunities and monitor KPIs.
• Data-Driven Business Solutions: Propose business ideas based on gathered data and develop central analytics systems.
