Job summary

PRIZM Group is expanding its analytics capability in Kuala Lumpur to drive CRM insights, performance reporting, and data-driven decision making. The role focuses on SQL data extraction, Python-based processing, and Power BI dashboard development to monitor campaigns and customer journeys.

You will collaborate across teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions, ensuring data quality and timely reporting while working on cloud data platforms and API integrations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, CRM analytics, or data operations, preferably in CRM, e-commerce, retail, or digital marketing environments.
Strong SQL proficiency, including writing complex queries, joining and transforming large datasets, performing aggregations, and investigating data discrepancies.
Practical Python experience in data processing, report generation, workflow automation, and API integration.
Hands-on experience with Power BI or other BI and data visualisation tools, including dashboard development, data modelling, and metric definition. Familiarity with DAX is an advantage.
Strong understanding of data structures, data flows, and the business logic behind metrics, reports, and analytical outputs.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify meaningful patterns, investigate anomalies, and translate findings into actionable business insights.
Ability to work independently, manage recurring deliverables, prioritise multiple tasks, and take ownership of assigned workflows with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to data validation, documentation, troubleshooting, and operational quality control.
Proficiency in reading and writing in English and Mandarin. Candidates fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin/Cantonese are preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin/Cantonese-speaking clients.
Experience with cloud platforms, data warehouses, scheduled data pipelines, or API integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python workflows to generate recurring business reports, customer data extracts, and performance analyses accurately and efficiently.
Understand end-to-end data flows, identify appropriate data sources, and apply the correct business logic and metric definitions to meet reporting and CRM requirements.
Develop, schedule, and maintain automated customer tagging and segmentation workflows to support daily CRM operations, reduce manual work, and improve operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain BI dashboards using Power BI or similar tools to monitor business performance, customer behavior, sales trends, and campaign effectiveness, translating business requirements into meaningful visualizations.
Support the development and optimisation of customer journeys using CRM engagement platforms, leveraging customer segmentation and behavioural patterns to improve targeting and campaign effectiveness.
Query and analyse large-scale datasets using SQL to identify trends, anomalies, customer behaviour patterns, and business opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
Monitor automated workflows, validate report accuracy, investigate data discrepancies, troubleshoot operational issues, and continuously improve reporting and data processing processes.
Communicate analytical findings through clear, data-driven narratives, explaining key trends, potential root causes, business implications, and recommended actions.
Work with internal teams and clients to clarify business requirements, align on reporting logic and metric definitions, and translate business needs into practical data solutions.
