Job summary

Fusang in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Cybersecurity Engineer to implement industry best practices and ensure regulatory compliance across systems. You will help design security architectures, monitor threats, and coordinate with engineering teams to safeguard data and infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on security skills, knowledge of ISO 27001 and Labuan FSA requirements, and experience with SIEM/XDR tools, Cloudflare, and AWS security. This is a full-time position based in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as Cybersecurity Engineer.
• Hands-on ability to implement security technical solutions.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or AWS Security Specialty.
• In-depth knowledge of network, application and database security.
• Experience with ISO 27001 and Labuan FSA regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop information security plans, policies and system security architectures.
• Establish security standards and best practices for Fusang.
• Review and implement new test security protocols, firewall configuration and security software.
• Develop practical and budget-friendly cybersecurity solutions.
• Analyze security systems, identify vulnerabilities and create mitigation action plans.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to uncover vulnerabilities and remediate.
• Use tools to monitor networks for irregularities and breaches.
• Respond to security breaches with detailed management reports.
• Plan and develop systems to secure data through encryption and access controls.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to maintain security infrastructure.
