Job summary

Materialise is seeking an IT Security Engineer to shape and secure our global infrastructure. You will own network and security infrastructure, guide security implementations, and partner with IT and development teams to protect critical systems and data.

You will translate regulatory requirements into actionable security measures, design a secure framework for business operations, and coach junior engineers while coordinating major incidents and strategic security planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science or information security.
• 5–10 years in a strong security environment; relevant security certifications are an added value.
• Strong cybersecurity skills at network and infrastructure level and endpoint protection.
• Fluent in English and a strong negotiator.

Responsibilities

• Own network and security infrastructure and enforcement.
• Guide the implementation of security measures across areas.
• Provide governance, support and escalation for the production security environment.
• Be point of contact for all security related issues.
• Translate regulatory compliance requirements into implementation actions.
• Design a secure framework in which the business is allowed to navigate.
• Train/coach junior security engineers.
• Manage and coordinate critical incidents.
• Design strategic view on a secure network environment.
