Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, infrastructure security, threat intelligence, or threat hunting.
• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, and security monitoring tools.
• Strong knowledge of incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, system hardening, and secure configurations.
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS Controls, and OWASP.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or cloud security certifications are an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for security monitoring, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, security control validation, and cybersecurity risk mitigation. This role works closely with infrastructure, application, cloud, and SOC teams to identify threats, improve security controls, and support compliance and audit initiatives.
