Job summary

DHL Group in Malaysia is seeking a Certified International Specialist to support imports, liaise with internal departments and customs, and ensure accurate clearance of duties and taxes.

You'll provide guidance to the finance team on payments, resolve disputes with customs, and help accelerate transit times while upholding compliance and service quality. This role offers an international environment and exposure to cross-border logistics within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or 3-4 years of customs-related experience.
• Customs broker license preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Portray a professional, courteous and helpful attitude in all dealings with internal and external customers.
• Deal with Imports Department, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Operations
• Provide DHL finance department with guidelines in relation to the payment and collection of duties and taxes
• Assist other departments with technical advice or presentations as required
• Liaise with Customs to resolve disputes / claims / queries.
• Ensure that entries are cleared in accordance with Customs compliance agreements
• Prioritise the clearance flow to achieve fastest transit time
• Maximise pre-clearances opportunity in accordance with service guidelines
• Ensure clearance authority held and clearance completed per owner’s instructions
• Ensure correct lodgement declarations are made while satisfying customs, VAT and other regulations
• Maintain up-to-date information on the customer database

Education

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or 3-4 years of customs-related experience
