Job summary

Build Ant Design Sdn Bhd in Penang Island invites applications for a Customer Service Intern. This full‑time internship offers hands-on experience supporting clients, answering inquiries, and processing requests in a fast-paced team.

You will document interactions in our CRM and escalate issues when needed. The role focuses on developing communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills while learning company procedures and service standards in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a tertiary qualification (diploma, degree or equivalent)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Malay and/or Mandarin is advantageous
• Excellent customer service orientation with a genuine desire to help and support customers
• Ability to remain calm, patient and professional when dealing with challenging situations
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with computer systems and a willingness to learn new software platforms
• Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering quality work within a team environment
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically and suggest improvements

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email, live chat and other communication channels in a timely and professional manner
• Providing product and service information to customers and assisting them with their questions and concerns
• Processing customer requests and transactions accurately and efficiently
• Documenting customer interactions and maintaining detailed records in our customer management system
• Identifying and escalating complex issues to senior team members when necessary
• Supporting the resolution of customer complaints with empathy and professionalism
• Contributing to team initiatives and assisting with administrative tasks as required
• Learning and adhering to company policies, procedures and service standards
