Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to provide professional care in a hospital unit. You will follow nursing policies, perform rounds, monitor patients, and assist in procedures, while coordinating with physicians and the care team.

The role requires current registration with the Malaysia Nursing Board, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications, and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Shift work and on-site duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Malaysia Nursing Board with a valid practicing license.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in a hospital unit following policies and procedures.
• Notify unit manager of changes affecting care standards and ensure proper handovers.
• Visit patients with the team to reassess care plans and priorities.
• Perform and document nursing rounds with emotional support and assist in procedures.
• Monitor cardiac status and interpret ECG/ABG results; coordinate with physicians for care plans.
• Assist in patient transfers, discharge procedures, and scheduling follow-ups as needed.
• Collaborate with the unit manager on administration and bed management; maintain accurate records.
• Maintain stock and supply records; ensure sterile packs are available.
