Job summary

AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad is seeking a Data Engineer to gather, transform, and analyze credit portfolio data, delivering insights to support policy and productivity improvements. The role involves building scalable data pipelines, integrating data from LOS, CBS, CCRIS, and automating ETL/ELT workflows for timely risk reporting, while leading the analytics team.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of data engineering experience, preferably in finance or risk analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL frameworks (Airflow, Talend, AWS Glue).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and data warehousing.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD is a plus.
• Strong leadership, training, and communication skills for the team.

Responsibilities

• Gather, extract data, review, monitor and identify consumer, collection, key trends in credit portfolio data and provide data insights.
• Support the development and automation of data pipelines for credit risk assessment.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for risk assessment and model input preparation.
• Integrate data from LOS, CBS, CCRIS into a centralized data warehouse or data mart.
• Automate ETL/ELT workflows for recurring credit risk reporting and analysis.
• Lead and coach the analytics team; collaborate with stakeholders to meet business goals.
• Ensure data quality, processing efficiency, and timely delivery to management.
