Job summary

Hong Leong Bank in Malaysia seeks a Policy Credit Planning & Strategy Manager to align credit policies with regulatory requirements and growth objectives. You will drive portfolio performance through data analysis and lead digital transformation projects to automate credit evaluation across consumer and small business lending.

The role reports to the Head - Personal Financial Services Credit (Credit Policy & Strategy Planning).

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of credit management/credit risk experience.
• Chartered Banker Level 1 certification from AICB preferred (not mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Review PFS credit policy to ensure regulatory compliance and align with lending direction for growth while preserving asset quality.
• Perform portfolio analysis and ongoing portfolio management to strengthen credit performance.
• Lead/support digital and AI transformation initiatives for credit evaluation and risk/policy enhancements across products.
• Conduct risk and compliance control testing and address audit queries.
• Act as Business Unit Compliance Representative (BUCR) and Operational Risk Representative (ORR).
