Job summary

PhillipCapital Group is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager for Credit Operations in Malaysia. You will manage daily credit operations, review trading activities, and maintain margin loan documentation while ensuring regulatory compliance and high service quality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business/Economics and a minimum of 2 years in credit operations or related fields. Strong communication and Excel skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in credit operations, margin financing, or stockbroking.
• Strong understanding of margin financing, credit risk, stock trading, and Bursa Malaysia regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily credit operations, monitoring exposures across the company, branches, dealers’ representatives, and clients, and reviewing trading activities.
• Prepare and maintain margin loan documentation, including drafting and distributing letters, statements, and notices.
• Handle queries from dealers, branches, and clients with clear communication, timely resolution, and guidance on regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high service quality by adhering to procedures, meeting turnaround timelines, and delivering accurate support.
• Coordinate margin account opening, maintenance, withdrawals, and related processes with the Operations team.
• Monitor and control exposures and trading risks, including margin calls, collateral levels, and force selling, ensuring regulatory timelines.
• Process and verify operational transactions such as contract amendments, dealing errors, withdrawals, deposits, commissions, and margin facility utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies; support audits and inspections.
