You’ll write in English and Bahasa Malaysia, collaborate with the Brand Director, and push for better words across websites, emails, packaging, and ads. Salary is RM3,000–RM4,500 monthly; on-site role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• This role requires 2–4 years of copywriting, content writing, brand writing, or related field.
• Fresh graduates may be considered with an exceptional portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Brand Voice Stewardship: Build, protect and evolve Mutu Case voice across channels with consistency.
• Develop and maintain a copy style guide for team alignment.
• Channel Copywriting: Websites, product pages, emails, digital ads, social platforms.
• Packaging and In-Store Copy: Text with clarity and personality for packaging and signage.
• Storytelling and Long-Form: Create brand stories to build trust and emotional connections.

About this role:

This role focuses on writing across every customer touchpoint. You will work closely with the Brand Director and creative team to build and strengthen Mutu's brand voice, turning ideas, products, and stories into copy that connects with customers. We are looking for someone who writes with confidence and clarity. The right candidate has strong opinions on words, hates fluff, and understands that good copy is clear and quietly persuasive. You should be comfortable writing in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, and know how to switch between the two without losing the brand's warmth and wit. This role is ideal for someone who wants ownership over a brand voice and isn't afraid to push for better words.

Responsibilities:

• Brand Voice Stewardship: Build, protect and evolve the voice of Mutu Case across every channel, ensuring consistency without sounding repetitive.
• Develop and maintain a copy style guide that keeps everyone aligned.
• Channel Copywriting: Write engaging text for websites, product landing pages, email campaigns, digital ads, and social media platforms.
• Packaging and In-Store Copy: Write packaging text, inserts, and retail signage with clarity and personality that makes the unboxing experience feel special.
• Storytelling and Long-Form: Develop brand stories that build trust and emotional connection with customers.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers and content creators to ensure words and visuals reinforce each other.
• Editing and Proofreading: Review copy across the team, catch tone and grammar issues, and raise the bar for everything that goes out. Ensure product descriptions don't overclaim and stay honest.

This position requires:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in copywriting, content writing, brand writing, or a related field.
• Exceptions may be made for fresh graduates with an exceptional portfolio.
• An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates range: short-form, long-form, and copy that sells.
• Excellent written English and Bahasa Malaysia with a strong sense of rhythm and tone.
• Strong opinions on writing and the ability to defend them clearly.
• A proactive mindset working as an individual contributor who can think independently, take ownership, and drive tasks forward.
• Curiosity about consumer brands, e-commerce, and storytelling-led marketing.
• A strategic mindset that understands how copy drives conversion, not just communicates information.
• Experience writing for e-commerce or DTC brands is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay:
