Job summary

SEE SONG & SONS SDN. BHD. in Sabah seeks an experienced crawler crane operator to support marine piling and jetty construction works. You will handle lifting, pile pitching and pile driving with a free-hanging hammer from land, platforms and barges.

The role requires valid JKKP/DOSH competency, knowledge of load charts and rigging, plus a medical fitness certificate. You must be willing to be stationed in Papar, Sabah and work extended hours. Bahasa Malaysia is required; basic English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid JKKP/DOSH competency as a Crawler Crane Operator.
• Good understanding of load charts, rigging practice and hand signals.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Willing to be stationed in Papar, Sabah, and to work extended hours or shifts when required.
• Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Operate crawler crane safely and efficiently per lifting plan and site instructions.

• Perform basic maintenance: greasing, fluid checks, wire rope and hook inspection; report defects.
• Coordinate with supervisor, riggers and signalman during lifting operations.
• Assist with crane assembly, dismantling, and mobilization between work areas.
• Stop work when conditions are unsafe and comply with safety requirements.

We are looking for experienced crawler crane operators to support marine piling and jetty construction works. The operators will handle lifting, pile pitching and pile driving with a free-hanging hammer, working from land, temporary platforms and barges.

Key Responsibilities

Operate the crawler crane safely and efficiently according to the lifting plan, load chart and site instructions.

Carry out daily pre-start inspections and record them in the crane daily checklist.

Carry out basic maintenance: greasing, fluid checks, and wire rope and hook inspection.
Report any defects immediately.

Work closely with the supervisor, riggers and signalman during all lifting operations.

Assist with crane assembly, dismantling, boom changes and mobilization between work areas.

Stop work when conditions are unsafe, such as high wind, poor ground or barge instability.

Comply with all JKKP (DOSH), company HSE and project safety requirements.

Keep records of operating hours, fuel usage and maintenance.

Requirements

Valid JKKP/DOSH competency as a Crawler Crane Operator (Operator Kren Bergerak Berantai).

Good understanding of load charts, rigging practice and hand signals.

Fit physique, with a medical fitness certificate.

Willing to be stationed in Papar, Sabah, and to work extended hours or shifts when required.

Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia; basic English is an advantage.
