Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Malaysia is seeking a Resource & Project Enablement Lead to drive resource strategy for its data center program in Malaysia and internationally. You will coordinate land, power, utilities, connectivity, and permitting to support ambitious development timelines.

You will work closely with Development, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Operations, balance commercial considerations with technical feasibility, and engage with regulators and utility partners to ensure timely

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of relevant experience in resource management, infrastructure development, construction coordination, permitting, or utility‑related project delivery.
• Experience in data center, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or large‑scale development projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian regulatory and permitting frameworks related to construction, utilities, infrastructure, and development approvals.
• Experience managing engagements with local authorities, utility providers, consultants, contractors, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resource development for data center projects including land, power, utilities, connectivity, and permitting.
• Support early-stage project planning by ensuring resource readiness aligns with development timelines, investment decisions, and business objectives.
• Maintain understanding of current and pipeline projects, milestones, and long‑term expansion plans, proactively identifying risks and dependencies.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with municipalities, utilities, grid operators, landowners, regulatory authorities, and external consultants.
• Coordinate discussions with power and infrastructure providers to ensure timely availability of capacities and services.
• Lead and coordinate permitting and licensing activities, including zoning, environmental approvals, and permits related to electrical and utility infrastructure.

• Stakeholder Engagement Act as a key coordination point for external stakeholders such as municipalities, utilities, grid operators, landowners, regulatory authorities, and external consultants

• Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with internal teams across Development, Engineering, Finance, Legal and Operations to align resource strategies with project requirements
• Coordinate technical inputs from subject‑matter experts and translate them into clear, decision‑ready information
• Support collaboration with third‑party partners, vendors, and advisors throughout the project lifecycle
• Budget & Commercial Support Collaborate with Finance & Analysis teams to support the development and tracking of resource‑related capital budgets
• Provide commercial and strategic input to ensure resource decisions are cost‑effective and aligned with long‑term project viability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in resource management, infrastructure development, construction coordination, permitting, or utility‑related project delivery
• Experience in data center, industrial, energy, infrastructure, or large‑scale development projects is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of Malaysian regulatory and permitting frameworks related to construction, utilities, infrastructure, and development approvals
• Experience managing engagements with local authorities, utility providers, consultants, contractors, and government agencies
• Familiarity with power, water, utility infrastructure planning, and critical project dependencies will be an added advantage
