Job summary

V.S. Industry Berhad in Senai, Johor, Malaysia, seeks a cost-focused professional to manage product costing and BOM structures, ensuring timely cost submission to customers. You will update costs with CNs and engineering changes, and perform variance analyses for claims.

The role requires 2–5 years in costing or related fields, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate across Engineering, Commercial, and Procurement teams. Based in Senai with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of costing, pricing, quotation, commercial, or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compile product costing and submit BOM cost structures accurately and within customers' required timelines.
• Maintain and update BOM cost structures based on Change Notes (CN) and engineering changes.
• Perform monthly reconciliation and analysis of product cost and price variances for customer claims.
• Coordinate with customers, Engineering, Commercial, Procurement, and other relevant departments on product costing and pricing-related matters.
• Monitor product cost changes and identify potential cost variances or discrepancies for timely action.
• Prepare, review, and issue quotations to customers based on approved costing and pricing requirements.
• Support customer claims, cost negotiations, and commercial-related activities when required.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in costing, pricing, quotation, commercial, or manufacturing environment.


• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.


• Good knowledge of BOM, product costing, cost analysis, and price variance is an added advantage.


• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with customers and cross-functional teams.


• Willing to work in Senai, Johor, Malaysia.
