Job summary

CTI International is seeking a Cost Analyst to prepare and submit cost analyses for internal and external customers in Malaysia. You will review customer drawings, BOMs, and specifications to build comprehensive cost models that cover raw materials, labor, tooling, overhead, and cycle times.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Medical or Semiconductor manufacturing, hands on experience is a plus.

This position is responsible for preparing and submitting cost analyses to internal and external customers. This includes reviewing customer blueprints, technical specifications, materials, and manufacturing processes to accurately determine the total product cost.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review customer requirements, including engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs), to develop comprehensive cost models covering raw materials, labor, manufacturing cycle time, tooling, and overhead costs. Ensure all required customer information is obtained and verified to support accurate analysis.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify cost reduction opportunities, suitable alternative materials, and efficiency improvements while ensuring product quality is maintained.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive component pricing and reliable material
• Collaboration and coordination with SMEs (from Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and SCM) as required to generate accurate and optimized quotes that meets C-Hawk targeted margins
• Resolve customer documentation discrepancies with stake holder(s) and/or communicate to the stakeholder if any changes are needed to their documentation to enable C-Hawk to produce the unit
• Maintain and update standard cost databases, track cost trends, and review actual production costs against initial estimates to improve the accuracy of future quotations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, etc.)
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing cost estimation, especially in machining, fabrication and assembly
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Medical or Semiconductor manufacturing, hands on experience is a plus
• Good customer service/communication skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities
• Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
