Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant (Senior) to support our client in Kuala Lumpur. You will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate across operations to drive accurate cost accounting and reporting.

Key duties include month-end close, inventory and purchasing accounting, margin analysis, standard costing, and ERP system handling (Oracle/SAP). You will mentor junior staff and ensure US GAAP/IFRS awareness.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Korean and English, both written and spoken.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in General Ledger or Financial Accounting functions.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Shared Services Centre experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is advantageous.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting and journal processing activities.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX requirements.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis activities.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
• Mentor and guide junior finance team members.

• BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 5-7 years relevant experience
