Job summary

ESCATEC is seeking a Corporate Quoting Executive in Malaysia to manage supplier quotations, cost evaluations, and RFQ activities for electro-mechanical solutions for OEMs. You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement and Sales to ensure accurate pricing and cost transparency, driving improvements and timely quotations.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years in procurement within Contract Manufacturing or related industries; strong negotiation and data governance skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in procurement/purchasing function in a Contract Manufacturing or related industry.
• Knowledge in the related commodity supply market and sources.

Responsibilities

• Quotation & Costing.
• Own, execute RFQ (quarterly repricing) and analysis of cost models for electro-mechanical, packaging, die-cut, etc.
• Validate supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Work closely with approved suppliers to obtain competitive quotes within timeline.
• Drive cost breakdown transparency and negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time, and tooling cost.
• Benchmark across suppliers to ensure best commercial outcome.
• Support dual sourcing and alternative proposals where applicable.
• Interface with Engineering, Procurement/Commodity Teams, and Sales/Costing to ensure alignment on specs, cost targets, lead time and manufacturability.

The Role

The Corporate Quoting Executive, is responsible for handling supplier quotations and supporting cost evaluation for procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Quotation & Costing
• Own, execute RFQ (quarterly repricing) and analysis of cost models for electro-mechanical, packaging, die-cut, etc.
• Validate supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness
• Work closely with approved suppliers to:
• Obtain competitive quotes within timeline
• Drive cost breakdown transparency
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, lead time, and tooling cost
• Benchmark across suppliers to ensure best commercial outcome
• Support dual sourcing and alternative proposals where applicable
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Interface with:
• Engineering (DFM / feasibility)
• Procurement / Commodity Teams
• Business Unit / Sales / Costing
• Ensure alignment on:
• Specifications and drawings
• Cost targets
• Lead time and manufacturability

• Ensure all quotations are:
• Accurate in UOM, pricing, and assumptions
• Properly documented and traceable
• Adhere to internal controls:
• Provide cost insights to support:
• Margin improvement initiatives
• Identify cost reduction opportunities:
• Material substitution
• Process improvements
• Meet aggressive RFQ turnaround timelines
• Prioritize based on business impact and urgency
• Support escalations for urgent builds or customer commitments
