Michael Page is partnering with a fast-growing logistics property developer in Malaysia to appoint a Corporate Finance & Tax Assistant Manager. The role oversees corporate finance, treasury operations, financial planning, and tax compliance, with emphasis on banking facilities, budgeting, and cash flow management.

The successful candidate will bring at least 5 years in corporate finance, treasury, tax or FP&A, and Mandarin proficiency to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, treasury, tax, or FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, banking facilities, tax regulations, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Mandarin proficiency required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Banking & Financing: Structure and manage bank facilities, negotiate terms and maintain relationships.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow planning.
• Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor cash positions, prepare liquidity reports, and develop financial models.
• Treasury Management: Oversee treasury activities including payments, reporting, and internal controls compliance.
• Tax Compliance: Oversee corporate tax, SST/GST, and withholding tax filings and compliance.
• Corporate Governance: Support board and shareholder meetings, including agendas and minutes.
• Process Improvement: Drive enhancements in ERP and reporting tools for data integrity and efficiency.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Support due diligence, financing strategies, and cost optimisation programs.

Our client is looking for a Corporate Finance & Tax Assistant Manager to play a key role in overseeing corporate finance, treasury operations, financial planning, and tax compliance.

Job Description

• Banking & Financing: Structure and manage bank facilities (loans, credit lines, guarantees), negotiate terms, and maintain strong banking relationships.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow planning to support strategic decisions.
• Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Monitor cash positions, prepare liquidity reports, and develop financial models to optimise working capital.
• Treasury Management: Oversee treasury activities including payments, reporting, and compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Tax Compliance: Oversee direct and indirect tax matters, including corporate tax, SST/GST, and withholding tax, ensuring timely filings and regulatory compliance.
• Corporate Governance: Support board and shareholder meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
• Process Improvement: Drive enhancements in financial systems (ERP, reporting tools) and improve efficiency through automation and better data integrity.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Support strategic initiatives such as M&A due diligence, financing strategies, and cost optimisation programs.

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, audit, treasury, tax, and/or FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of treasury operations, banking facilities, tax regulations, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Mandarin proficiency required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
