Job summary

DeGem Masterpiece Sdn Bhd is seeking a kitchen cook to prepare two daily meals for management and sales staff, planning three daily dishes to accompany rice. You will purchase fresh ingredients, uphold hygiene, and ensure meals are ready and served on time in a clean, safe kitchen environment.

The role requires experience in wholesome family-style or canteen meals, expertise in Chinese and Asian cuisines, and the ability to work independently with punctuality and reliability.

Qualifications

Age preferably below 55.
Physically fit and able to perform kitchen duties.
Experience in preparing wholesome family-style meals or canteen-style meals.
Able to plan and cook a variety of Chinese and other Asian cuisines.
Able to prepare healthy, balanced, and quality meals.
Good knowledge of food hygiene, safety standards, and kitchen cleanliness.
Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Prepare two meals daily (lunch and dinner) for the Company’s management staff and sales team.
Plan and prepare three dishes daily to accompany rice, ensuring meals are healthy, balanced, nutritious, and of good quality.
Purchase fresh daily ingredients and ensure proper selection, quality, and freshness of food supplies.
Perform daily food preparation, including washing, cutting, marinating, and other cooking preparations.
Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in the kitchen and dining area.
Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
Monitor kitchen supplies and inform when replenishment is required.
Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned.
