Job summary

Air Products Inc. in Prai, Penang, is seeking a Controls and Instrumentation Engineer to maintain and optimize plant C&I systems, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operations.

You will lead instrumentation tools, review control drawings, and coordinate with operations on preventive maintenance and SAP PM workflows. Diploma or degree in Electronic/Control/Instrumentation Engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Electronic/Control/Instrumentation Engineering.
• Experience in plant C&I maintenance and SAP PM is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret control drawings and instrumentation schematics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out C&I maintenance (scheduled/breakdown) to minimize plant downtime.
• Supervise C&I contractors during maintenance repairs and ensure procedures.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with operations and SAP PM.
• Inspect C&I equipment regularly and advise plant engineer of abnormalities.
• Maintain C&I tools, ensure safety practices, and update circuit diagrams as needed.
• Ensure adequate stock of spares and gases; ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures.

## Controls and Instrumentation Engineer應徵: Prai, Penang: Full time: 今天刊登: JR-2026-19781在安瑞普特,我們重新定義可能性。透過激發員工的熱情並匯聚集體經驗,我們孕育出推動公司前進的創意與創新。當我們齊心協力——在每個人的聲音都能被傾聽、每個人都深知自己歸屬且重要的環境中——我們所創造的解決方案,不僅能將人類送入太空、支援醫院的救命照護,更能推動開創性的全球級生產設施建設。 重新定義可能* To carry out proper C & I maintenance (schedule/breakdown) on plants so that plants downtime is kept at a minimum.* To supervise C & I contractors on maintenance repairs to follow procedures and operations.* To liaise closely with Operation personnel on timing of regular preventive C&I maintenance programs and responsible for carrying out SAP based preventive program.* To carry out regular inspection on plant C & I equipment and assess their reliability and advise the plant engineer of any abnormalities.* Attend all hands-on controls & instrumentation planned and unplanned repair/maintenance needs which includes control valves, transmitters, temperature & vibration probes and all other related equipment.* To ensure that proper care and maintenance of C&I tools are carried out.* To ensure that proper safety practices and measures are adhered to.* To assist the plant and maintenance engineer in reviewing plant C & I spare parts on a regular basis.* To be responsible for update of all C & I circuit diagrams for easy reference* To ensure that repairs are carried out immediately in case of as per requirement by SAP PM.* To ensure that there are adequate stock of span gases and proper control and recording of stock should be exercised – also applies to other raw materials and capital goods.* That analyzers are to be spanned monthly and whenever required so that its accuracy can be maintained and thus its reliability. Monthly checks to be conducted on the span gases pressures so that continuous supply of gases are maintained and random checks to be done on stock for verification.* To follow all the ISO 9001:2000 procedures and ensure all the record is available and up to date during any internal and external audit* To comply to all plant safety rules and regulations including housekeeping* To support all the plants call out during non-working hours.**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS*** Diploma/Degree in Electronic/Control/Instrumentation Engineering.* Minimum 4 years experience in related working field.* Able to use the common instrumentation tools.* Able read and understand the controls drawing.* Experience in PLC or DCS system.
