Job summary

Princeton Digital Group seeks a Systems Engineer – BMS Control/Application to join our Johor Data Center. You will be the primary technical contact for BMS-related matters, lead system discussions, and clarify requirements.

Deep knowledge of BMS and related controls is essential to ensure high availability. You will liaise with contractors, drive commissioning and testing, and sustain uptime through proactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• 3–5 years of experience in BMS/DCIM/EPMS/SCADA/Modbus TCP systems.
• Familiar with data center design, operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage Data Center Building Management System for new and existing setups from design to commissioning.
• Coordinate with contractors for daily BMS operations and preventive maintenance.
• Support Site Acceptance Tests and integration testing during handover.
• Maintain system uptime by servicing instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems.
• Review performance data and drive improvement actions; respond to faults and recover systems quickly.
• Assist in developing real-time dashboards for capacity monitoring and TCO forecasting.

We Are Looking For

As the Systems Engineer – BMS Control/Application – you will be based in the Johor Data Center and report to the Systems Manager. You will be the key point of contact for system-related technical matters and lead system-related technical discussions and clarifications. You should have a deep understanding on the Building Management System - BMS, specifically the ability to study, clarify and negotiate BMS technical requirements.

Your Job Responsibilities:

• Establishment of the Data Center Building Management System for new and existing setup, including all technical aspects of the Project from designing, integration, testing, Factory Acceptance Test, installation, commissioning and warranty.
• Responsible for liaising with the relevant contractors for daily BMS related operation and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Support the project team in the Site Acceptance Test, integration testing during project handover and transition phase.
• Sustaining the operations of BMS by ensuring timely system maintenance of instrumentation, electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems to maximum uptime.
• Continuously review the performance database and initiates corrective actions for performance improvement of the systems.
• Responsible for prompt respond for all fault finding, diagnosis and recovery of systems during breakdowns.
• Support the development of real time dashboard platform for monitoring Capacity loading, ensuring all maintenance regimes and activities are in accordance with contractual agreements.
• Supporting development of CMMS to assist the Critical Facility team on the total cost of ownership (TCO) forecasting, budgeting, purchasing, and cost control measures.
• Responsible for drafting, reviewing and revision of operation documents not limited to following: Emergency procedure, Operating Procedure, Project tender specification and Change Management.

Qualities You Should Have:

• Bachelor/ Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering/ Instrumentation and Control or Building Services
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in BMS/DCIM/ EPMS/FMCS/Modbus TCP/ RTU/PLC/SCADA/BACnet
• Knowledge of Data Center and/or other mission critical facilities design, operation and maintenance
• Essential knowledge in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, fire protection and security systems
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word, BMS/ EPMS, CMMS/ DCIM, ERP, Microsoft BI
• Excellent in problem solving and performing root cause analysis
