Intel Corporation in Malaysia is seeking a contract accounting professional to support month-end close, journal postings, reconciliations, and financial analysis within the Finance organization.

The role emphasizes SAP proficiency, US GAAP knowledge, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, Procurement and HR. The 12-month contract includes audit support, process documentation, and involvement in finance system initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Min 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated analytical skills to address financial data complexities.
• Knowledge of US GAAP compliance and financial reporting standards.

Responsabilités

• Month-End Close: Support month-end close activities by preparing and posting journal entries, reviewing financial transactions, and ensuring assigned accounting activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding balances in a timely manner.
• Financial Analysis: Assist with variance analysis and financial reporting by identifying unusual fluctuations, researching discrepancies, and supporting management reporting requirements.
• Audit Support: Support internal and external audit activities by preparing supporting schedules, providing documentation, and responding to audit requests.
• Process Documentation: Maintain and update accounting procedures, process documentation, and work instructions to ensure they remain current and accurate.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Procurement, HR, and other business stakeholders, to resolve accounting issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ad-hoc: Participate in finance system implementations, upgrades, and enhancement initiatives by supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), validation activities, and issue resolution.
