bp seeks a Contract Lifecycle Management Lead to implement governance and manage core contracts within a hybrid office/remote setting. You will drive value delivery, mitigate commercial risks, and ensure contract obligations are met across ERP systems.
Ideal candidates have 6+ years in energy contracting and 3+ years in contract management, with strong analytical and communication skills to engage diverse partners globally.
Key Accountabilities Based on internal task assignment, the Contract Lifecycle Management Lead will support/handle medium to high risk activities, but not limited to the following:
Implement the established CLM governance framework Handle primarily core contracts with some operational contracts. Implement value delivery and contract value leakage initiatives Implement commercial and operational risk mitigation
Implement Contract Operationalization in applicable ERP systems (including all PA/PB management/updates). Implement structured contract close‑out with all contractual and commercial obligations. Implement contract changes (amendments, variations, terminations) timely and accurately. Support contract assurance initiatives and audits. Support reporting and analysis for Procurement and Business stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Law, Supply Chain, Finance, Commerce or related fields. The ideal candidate has more than 6 years working experience in Contracting and Procurement in the energy sector (Upstream, Downstream, Digital and IT, Indirect, or Workplace). More than 3 years of Contract Management in Contracting and Procurement in the energy sector (Upstream, Downstream, Digital and IT, Indirect, or Workplace). Has sound knowledge of Sourcing and contracting processes with knowledge and sound practical application experience in contract assurance, contract risk & compliance, contract drafting and review, and contract close out in the energy industry. Contractually and commercially risk adverse. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required given diverse nature of operating landscape. Strong analytical skills, communication, and able to engage similar level partners with the organization. Ability to operate independently and methodically with minimum supervision to handle and ensure process adherence, research and analysis of systems and information is a must, Working knowledge and understanding of contracting systems and ERPs.
Proficient in English and other language is desirable (e.g; German, Spanish, , both spoken and written). Able to support or work in Europe shift Role will require occasional hours outside of standard business hours – to join calls with overseas SMEs/Partners Personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines Experienced working in virtual teams Some experience in Agile Ways of Working and support Agile Ways of Working. From time to time, assigned additional task outside of regular/daily activities.
