Job summary

Mudah.my, part of Carousell Group, is seeking a Content Moderator in Kuala Lumpur to review user-submitted content and enforce platform guidelines across listings and media. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely moderation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will join a team in a hybrid work arrangement (2–3 days in office per week) on a 6-month contract with potential extension, reflecting a dynamic online marketplace environment.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or 1–2 years in Content Moderation.
• Strong English and Malay communication (spoken and written).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage user-submitted content to ensure compliance with guidelines and policies, including pre/post moderation and escalation handling.
• Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates guidelines (removal, rejection, flagging).
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and productivity while meeting defined KPIs and SLAs.
• Conduct research on ads to identify misleading, spam, or fraudulent content based on current market trends and online behavior.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve ambiguous cases and escalate issues per internal procedures.
• Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest improvements to review policies or workflows.
• Collaborate across teams to improve user experience and address content-related issues.
• Participate in training, calibration, and quality improvement initiatives

Job Description

• Review and manage user-submitted content (text, images, video, listings, etc.) to ensure compliance with content guidelines and platform policies, including pre/post moderation and escalation handling.
• Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates guidelines (e.g., removal, rejection, flagging).
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and productivity while meeting defined KPIs and SLAs.
• Conduct research on ads to identify misleading, spam, or fraudulent content based on current market trends, market knowledge, and online behavior.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve ambiguous cases and escalate issues according to internal procedures.
• Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest improvements to review policies or workflows.
• Collaborate across teams to improve user experience and address content-related issues.
• Participate in training, calibration, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of experience in Content Moderation are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication skills in English and Malay (spoken and written); Mandarin is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools.
• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage high volumes of moderation tasks.
• Familiarity with internet culture, online marketplaces, and market trends is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in the property/real estate field is an added advantage.
• Willing to work on rotational shifts (5 days work, 2 days off | 8AM – 5PM; 11AM – 8PM), including weekends and public holidays as scheduled.
• Comfortable with a hybrid work arrangement (2–3 days in office per week).
