Job summary

Needle Tech Sdn. Bhd is seeking a content strategist who can craft compelling visual stories from raw footage. You will ideate concepts, edit videos, and produce content for social media, promotional materials, and documentaries.

You'll work on a range of formats from short reels to long-form videos, collaborating with interviewees, talents, and clients. Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred, with a keen eye for marketing impact.

Qualifications

In this role, you'll be the creative force behind the camera and in front of the editing screen, transforming raw footage into compelling visual stories that resonate with audiences. Whether you are doing ideation for. a content, editing vlogs, promotional videos, or documentaries, your mission is to craft every frame with precision and creativity.

Job Requirements

• Content Ideation and Storytelling
  Able to turn simple ideas, everyday moments, products, or brand messages into engaging stories and captivating social media content.
• Understanding of Social Media Language
  Understands how people communicate on different social media platforms and knows how to adapt the tone, format, hook, caption, and storytelling style for each platform.
• AI and Digital Trends
  Keeps up with the latest AI tools, social media trends, content formats, platform updates, and digital behaviours. Willing to explore how AI can support content research, ideation, production, and editing.
• Video Editing Skills
  Basic proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience editing short-form videos, Reels, TikToks, or other social media content is an advantage.
• Camera Skills
  Basic knowledge of operating a DSLR or mirrorless camera, including framing, composition, focus, lighting, and basic shooting techniques.
• Communication Skills
  Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Able to articulate ideas, feedback, and creative concepts clearly, while communicating comfortably with interviewees, talents, creators, clients, and on-camera subjects. You should know how to make people feel at ease, ask the right questions, and guide them confidently during a shoot.
• Creativity with Marketing Awareness
  Being creative is important, but creativity must also serve a purpose. You should be able to understand the client’s marketing needs, identify the communication problem, and propose creative content solutions.
• Time and Task Management
  The BOSS is not going to micromanage you. You will be expected to manage your own time wisely, organise your assignments, communicate your progress, and complete your work by the agreed deadlines.
