Job summary

Mercer Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a skilled Consultant, Rewards to join the Rewards team. Based in Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, this hybrid role aligns with team arrangements and client projects.

You will design and implement compensation and benefits programs, analyze market data, support salary structures, and guide on employee recognition. A strong Total Rewards background, Excel and Power BI skills, and client-facing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience with strong exposure to Total Rewards.
• 2–3 years of consulting experience is highly preferred.
• Candidates with a combination of in-house Rewards and consulting experience will also be considered.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong proficiency in formulas, data analysis and handling large datasets.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Exposure to data analytics or visualization tools (Power BI) would be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented to comprehend and summarize appropriate information.
• Able to network and present sales pitch to key leaders in large organizations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and structure client presentations/reports including performing data analysis and draw conclusions.
• Review and/or develop exhibits based on collected and calculated data comprises of understanding project components and processes.
• Applies computer and research skills to understand financial performance, talent management trends, and pay practices and policies.
• Oversee the development of methodology by analysts and manage small to medium engagements.
• Provides guidance to project team analysts and ensures timely delivery of work and achievement of project objectives.
• May manage smaller projects and workstreams of larger client projects while providing guidance to project team analysts and ensure timely delivery of work and achievement of project objectives.
• Deliver high-quality client presentations and communicate recommendations confidently to stakeholders.
• Demonstrate ownership, responsiveness and a strong sense of urgency in delivering client work.
