Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Engineer to assist in supervising daily site construction and installation activities. You will coordinate with workers, subcontractors, and engineers to ensure work aligns with project schedules and safety standards.

Fresh graduates with potential are encouraged; 1–2 years of relevant experience is preferred. Willingness to travel across Malaysia and relocate as needed is required. A CIDB Green Card with basic safety knowledge is desirable.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Engineering, Building Management, or an equivalent field.
• 1–2 years of relevant working experience in engineering, construction, or site works.
• Fresh graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
• Possess own car or motorcycle and a valid driving licence.
• Willing to travel to project sites and relocate across Malaysia when required upon project completion.
• Possess a valid CIDB Green Card with basic safety knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret technical or engineering drawings will be an added advantage.
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced site environment and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project / Site Engineer in supervising, monitoring, coordinating, and executing daily site construction and installation activities.
• Ensure site activities are carried out according to project schedules and meet required timelines.
• Coordinate with workers, subcontractors, engineers, and other project teams to ensure smooth site operations.
• Monitor daily site progress and highlight any delays or issues to the Project / Site Engineer.
• Apply for daily site work permits and ensure all required permits are properly obtained before work commences.
• Organize daily site activities and allocate workers according to project requirements.
• Directly lead, supervise, and coordinate site workers to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all construction and installation works comply with approved technical drawings, specifications, construction plans, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and identify any defects or non-compliance issues.
• Coordinate rectification works and follow up to ensure issues are properly resolved.
• Manage, inspect, safeguard, and monitor construction materials, tools, and equipment at the site.
• Conduct quality checks on materials before installation.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage, wastage, or loss.
• Enforce strict adherence to site Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)andOSHA requirements.
• Ensure workers follow proper safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report and escape any safety hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices.
• Conduct routine site inspections and monitor daily construction progress.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
• Capture site photographs and visual progress records for project reporting.
• Maintain proper site records, inspection reports, and relevant documentation.
