Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to oversee daily activities and coordinate at the project site. You will direct sub-contractors and ensure works conform to approved plans, drawings and specifications.

You will review drawings, monitor progress, ensure material quality, conduct site inspections and maintain daily site records, while upholding safety and project requirements.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building or related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings and specifications.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Good understanding of construction quality, safety and site procedures.
• Strong site supervision, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
• Willing to work at project sites and outside normal working hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
• Direct and instruct sub-contractors on site activities and work requirements.
• Ensure all construction works are carried out according to approved plans, drawings and specifications.
• Review approved drawings and plans to identify any discrepancies before commencement of work.
• Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Ensure all materials used comply with approved specifications and required quality standards.
• Check, receive and verify materials delivered to site for correct quantity, type and condition.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor site safety, health and security throughout the project.
• Prepare and maintain daily site records and photographic records of site activities and progress.
