Job summary

Scientex (Skudai) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee construction-site safety, induction for contractor employees, and work-permit checks with risk assessments. The role includes supervising site labour, inspecting tools, and preparing daily–monthly safety reports.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor degree with 2+ years of related experience; DOSH Yellow Book and CIDB Green Card are required. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin is essential, along with MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree with at least 2 years of related working experience.
• Yellow book by DOSH and CIDB Green Card (required).
• Competency in Scaffolding level 1 (added advantage).
• Excellent command of oral and written Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
• Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Independent and dynamic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety induction to contractor employees
• Perform daily safety payroll with contractor or project team
• Perform work permit check with proper risk assessment
• Supervise and monitor site labor force and make safety actions on construction sites
• Conduct equipment and hand tools inspection
• Prepare Safety & Health reports on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Perform preliminary accident investigation and provide information to all concerned parties
• Perform any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior or Company
