Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor on a 6-month contract to lead safety on a major construction project. The role focuses on implementing safety plans, conducting inspections and keeping the site compliant with regulations.

The ideal candidate must be a registered Safety Officer with a valid Yellow Book and DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP, have at least 2 years of construction-site experience, and be willing to work full-time on site.

Qualifications

• Registered Safety Officer with a valid Yellow Book and DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP registration.
• Construction site experience: minimum 2 years.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA and construction safety practices.
• Familiar with HIRARC, JSA, PTW and safety documentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with workers and management.
• Firm, responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
• Willing to be based full-time at project site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site safety and implement safety plans.
• Prepare and implement comprehensive safety plans for construction projects.
• Conduct daily site inspections for safety compliance.
• Prepare weekly safety inspection and status reports.
• Lead toolbox meetings with subcontractors and workers.
• Inspect equipment, PPE, and safety gear on-site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on safety procedures.
• Liaise with OSHA and authorities to ensure compliance.
• Rectify unsafe practices on-site.
• Record and report accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure housekeeping and site cleanliness.
• Monitor high-risk activities (height work, lifting, confined spaces).
• Issue safety notices and stop-work instructions when required.
