Job summary

ONNEC Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations at a data centre construction site. You will be the on-site lead working with clients, engineering teams, and vendors to ensure uptime, safety and compliance.

You will oversee planned maintenance, reactive works, supplier management, documentation and asset registers, and you will report progress, escalate issues, and drive continuous improvement on site.

• Proven experience managing contractors and vendors in live environments
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Confident communicator with client-facing experience
• Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities operations in a construction data centre project environment
• Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
• Act as the primary client interface, providing updates, reporting, and escalation
• Manage suppliers, contractors, and specialist vendors ensuring compliance and safety
• Maintain documentation, compliance records, and asset registers
• Ensure all activities meet health & safety, compliance, and service standards

You will act as the on-site lead, working closely with clients, engineering teams, and vendors to maintain uptime, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement.
