Job summary

AZAN ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking an entry-level QA/QC Assistant to support the QA/QC Engineer in monitoring construction quality and documenting inspections at site locations.

You will help prepare and maintain QA/QC records, check workmanship, review drawings and materials, and assist with Inspection Requests and NCR follow-ups. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this on-site role in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in QA/QC or construction is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of construction processes, materials, drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with QA/QC documentation such as ITP, Method Statement, Inspection Request, MIR, WIR and NCR is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Responsible, organized and willing to learn.
• Able to work at construction sites and under pressure.
• Willing to travel or relocate to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QA/QC Engineer in monitoring the quality of construction works.
• Conduct site inspections and assist in checking workmanship, materials and construction activities.
• Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining QA/QC documents, inspection checklists, reports and records.
• Assist in preparing and submitting Inspection Requests and other quality related documents.
• Assist in monitoring material testing and laboratory test results.
• Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test results, material approvals and other QA/QC documentation.
• Assist in identifying quality issues and reporting them to the QA/QC Engineer or Site Manager.
• Assist in following up on corrective actions and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Coordinate with site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other relevant parties on quality-related matters.
• Assist during consultant/client inspections and site quality checks.
• Ensure QA/QC records are properly filed and updated.
• Perform other duties related to quality control as assigned by the management.
