Job summary

M&M PROJECT BUILDER SDN. BHD. in Johor Bahru District, Johor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from inception through completion.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction across diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, minimum five years’ PM experience in construction, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Fluent English and Malay communication.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse data, solve problems, and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
• Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and financial management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, initiate, and oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through completion and handover.
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.
• Monitor project progress and performance against timelines and budgets, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Manage project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and coordination across stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and technical drawings.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans to minimise delays and cost overruns.
• Maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and government authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present regular project reports, progress updates, and performance metrics to senior management and clients.
