Job summary

Curtin University Malaysia is seeking a Compliance Officer to support the International Compliance Manager with Genuine Student (GS) screening for Global Curtin and to balance timely assessments with conversion activities. The role involves detailed applicant checks, visa-related procedures, and producing reports to improve GTE processes.

You will interact with the Global Recruitment Team and agents, conduct follow-ups, and ensure quality applications while adhering to Curtin's policies and visa

Responsibilities

• Acts as a point of contact for Genuine student checks for Curtin.
• Conduct financial checks for all applications/offers and screening checks for agents.
• Conduct student interviews as part of genuine student assessments where applicable.
• Conduct follow-up calls to students and agents as needed.
• Update status for each student from application to visa decision.
• Produce reports for the International Compliance Manager on GTE and visa policy updates; suggest improvements.
• Collect market intelligence to enhance Global Curtin GS assessment knowledge base.

Your new role

The Compliance Officer will be required to assist the International Compliance Manager with Genuine Student (GS) screening for Global Curtin, balancing the timely processing of GS assessments with supporting the Global Recruitment Team's conversion activities.

The role will be required to perform application screening for Global Curtin and all other compliance-related tasks as directed by the International Compliance Manager. The expectation of the role includes the following:

• Detailed and quality assessment of genuine students.
• Quick turnaround time in assessing and processing applications.
• Meeting the key performance indicators as required.
• Maintaining good communication with the organization.

Your key responsibilities

• Acts as a point of contact for Genuine student checks for Curtin.
• Conduct financial checks for all applications/offers. Conduct screening checks and interviews for all applications from all agents to ensure that only quality applications are processed.
• Conduct student interviews as part of the genuine student assessments (where applicable only).
• Conduct follow-up calls to students and agents, where applicable.
• Update the status for each student from the application, and submission, up to visa approval/refusal.
• Produce reports as and when required for the International Compliance Manager in terms of GTE, compliance, and visa policy updates, as well as provide suggestions to improve GTE assessment.
• Collecting market intelligence to enhance the Global Curtin GS assessment knowledge base.
