Private Advertiser is seeking a Compliance Manager to liaise with regulators and provide advisory support on regulatory expectations. You will communicate risks to senior management and oversee periodic reviews and remediation, ensuring alignment with governance standards across the organization.

The role emphasizes data-driven risk analysis, thematic reviews, and on-site engagement to validate practices, while mentoring the team and driving compliance training across Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
• 6–10 years of experience in compliance, risk, audit, operations or related functions.
• Willing to travel regularly across Malaysia.
• AML/CFT knowledge is an added advantage.
• Experience in financial services, lending, pawnshop or related environments is beneficial.

The Compliance Manager is a key liaison with regulators and manages regulatory communications for a Singapore listed company. The role involves providing advisory support to business units on regulatory expectations, communicating compliance risks to senior management, and overseeing periodic compliance reviews. The position requires leading data-driven risk analysis, conducting thematic reviews to detect risk exposures, and performing on-site engagement with outlets to validate operational practices. The Compliance Manager will oversee regulatory submissions, identify control gaps, lead Enterprise Risk Management reviews, and strengthen governance frameworks while prioritizing team resources and providing mentorship to drive compliance awareness across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Act as key liaison with regulators and manage regulatory communications

About you

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline
• At least 6–10 years of working experience in compliance, risk, audit, operations, or related functions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with business teams
• Able to work independently with a hands‑on and practical mindset
• Willing to travel regularly across Malaysia
• Basic understanding of Malaysian regulatory requirements and AML/CFT principles will be an added advantage
• Experience in financial services, lending, pawnshop, or relevant operational environments will be advantageous
