Job summary

Manulife Insurance Malaysia is seeking a Compliance professional to support regulatory reporting, policy implementation, and process improvements within the GWAM CoE framework. You will work closely with the CoE Leads to ensure adherence to global platforms and internal guidelines across GWAM and Manulife Investment Management.

The role emphasizes strong English communication, initiative, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Graduate of finance, accounting, business, law, and/or related professional qualification is an added advantage.
• Experience in fund / asset management compliance, audit, financial intermediaries or regulator is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of investment industry, securities laws, rules and regulations, international financial markets, and marketing guidelines.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills, multi-lingual an advantage.
• Ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing reports for local and overseas regulatory authorities, and other third parties including the funds’ trustee, industry associations and institutional clients.
• Assist the Head of Compliance (Malaysia COE) in recommending improvements to policies and process efficiency.
• Perform compliance monitoring and testing as assigned.
• Assist in compliance projects, including transition of new workload into CoE compliance teams.
• Assist in handling queries from CoE team members and share best practices to build the CoE Compliance team.
