Job summary

Experian Information Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Compliance Assurance Officer to lead end-to-end assurance reviews within the EMAP region, delivering risk-based insights and practical remediation guidance.

The role reports to Head of Compliance and requires about 5 years in regulatory compliance, with strong data privacy knowledge and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders on findings and action plans.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in monitoring, testing, assurance, or audit within regulatory compliance.
• Experience in a substantially regulated organization, ideally in Financial Services.
• Solid knowledge of privacy and data protection regulation and its core principles.
• Experience delivering assurance or testing reviews and documenting findings clearly.
• Ability to investigate issues, analyze data, and prepare actionable reports.

The Compliance Assurance Officer plays an important role in delivering effective, risk-based compliance assurance across the EMAP region. This role is suited to someone who can lead assigned assurance reviews independently, apply sound judgment in regulated environments, and work credibly with stakeholders on findings, risks, and remediation.

You will be responsible for delivering compliance assurance reviews in line with the Global Compliance Management Programme and the annual EMAP Compliance Assurance Plan.

What You'll Be Doing:

Deliver assurance reviews end to end

Execute compliance assurance reviews in line with the annual EMAP Compliance Assurance Plan and agreed timelines

Define testing approach and review activities for assigned engagements

Maintain robust working papers and clear review documentation

Assess findings and support remediation

Analyse control effectiveness and identify areas of compliance risk

Prepare clear, well-structured reports that set out findings, risks, conclusions, and required actions

Work with business owners and management to agree practical

Support governance and stakeholder engagement

Build a broad understanding of the business and the regulatory environment in which Experian operates

Engage with stakeholders to support effective management of compliance risk.

This role will be reporting to Head of Compliance.

What We're Looking For:

Around 5 years of experience in monitoring, testing, assurance, or audit within regulatory compliance

Experience working in a substantial regulated organization, ideally in Financial Services

Technical and functional capability

Good working knowledge of privacy and data protection regulation and its key principles

Experience delivering assurance or testing reviews and documenting findings clearly

Investigate issues, analyze data, and prepare clear, actionable reports.

Stakeholder and communication strength

Being more structured, and credible way in managing tasks

Confidence working with business stakeholders to discuss findings, risks, and actions
