Job summary

Sunway Sanctuary Confinement Centre is seeking caring and responsible Patient Care Assistants to join our team. You will work closely with the nursing team to provide safe, attentive and compassionate care to mothers and newborns throughout their postnatal confinement journey.

Key responsibilities include assisting nurses with basic care, newborn care, diaper changing, feeding support, swaddling, and ensuring the wellbeing of mothers and babies.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses in providing basic care and support to mothers and newborns.
• Assist with newborn care, including diaper changing, feeding support, burping, swaddling and general comfort measures.
• Support mothers with their daily care needs and ensure their comfort and wellbeing.
• Observe mothers and newborns and promptly report any concerns or changes in condition to the nurse.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable care environment.
• Support the nursing team with routine care activities and preparation of care items.
• Assist with the safe transfer or movement of mothers and newborns when required.
• Follow proper infection prevention and control, hygiene and safety practices.
