Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Malaysia seeks a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to provide basic nursing care aligned with hospital standards. You will work with the ward team to support patient comfort, safety and daily living activities, and promptly report any incidents to the nursing leadership.

Your duties include coordinating with colleagues, assisting in procedures, maintaining supplies, documenting care, and upholding infection control and safety policies to deliver high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Education: Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia. Certified healthcare assistants would be a priority.
• Experience working in a hospital setting is an advantage.
• Able to converse fluently and write in English language and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to work on scheduled hours, shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to patients in line with nursing policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with ward team on all activities and ensure proper handovers.
• Notify nursing leaders of incidents or reportable situations requiring administrative involvement.
• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living and ensure their safety and comfort.
• Transport patients to operating theatres and diagnostic tests as needed.
• Maintain ward cleanliness, stock levels, and accurate patient records.
