Job summary

Stella Kasih Healthcare Sdn Bhd is seeking a Patient Transportation and Porter to support hospital operations across departments. You will transport patients safely between wards, clinics, and operating theatres, assist with mobility equipment and handle medical equipment and supplies throughout the facility.

You will follow safety and infection prevention procedures, ensure patient dignity, and coordinate with various departments to meet transportation needs and maintain smooth hospital

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate politely and professionally with patients, visitors and hospital staff
• Capacity to maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays according to the hospital's operational requirements
• Ability to respond promptly to requests from departments and supervisors

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between wards, clinics, operating theatre, diagnostic departments and other areas as instructed
• Assist patients with wheelchairs, stretchers and other mobility equipment
• Ensure patients are handled with care, dignity and respect at all times
• Confirm patient identity and destination before transportation
• Assist with transferring patients between beds, stretchers and wheelchairs when required and according to hospital procedures
• Transport medical equipment, supplies, linen, specimens, documents and other materials between departments
• Assist in moving beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, trolleys and other hospital equipment
• Ensure equipment and items are handled carefully to prevent damage or loss
• Ensure wheelchairs, stretchers and trolleys are clean, safe and ready for use
• Follow hospital safety, infection prevention and control procedures
