Job summary
Stella Kasih Healthcare Sdn Bhd is seeking dedicated care assistants to support patients with daily living activities in a hospital environment. You will assist with hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility while monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to nurses.
The role emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and adherence to care protocols. Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous, and candidates must be prepared for challenging shifts.
Qualifications
- SPM or equivalent qualifications required.
- Certificate in Basic Care for Healthcare preferred.
- Hospital experience is an advantage.
- Able to work in a challenging environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, grooming, and oral care.
- Help patients with dressing and undressing.
- Assist patients with toileting needs and use of bedpans / urinals.
- Provide skin care and pressure sore prevention through turning and repositioning.
- Assist with feeding and ensure adequate hydration (excluding tube feeding).
- Respond promptly to call bells and report needs to the nurse.
- Safely assist with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Measure and record vital signs accurately.
- Monitor and record patient intake and output.
- Observe or report changes in condition to the supervising nurse immediately.
- Report faulty equipment or instruments to the registered nurse.
