Job summary

Ampang Puteri Specialist Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential nursing care, support patient activities of daily living, and collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort.

The role involves assisting with rounds, preparing beds, and ensuring cleanliness of the ward, store, and equipment while reporting any incidents to maintain quality care.

Qualifications

• Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia required; priority for certified healthcare assistants.
• Experience in a hospital setting is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, shifts, weekends, public holidays and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular nursing rounds to assess patients’ needs and communicate with them and their families.
• Prepare and tidy patients’ beds and linens and organize belongings and furniture.
• Disinfect beds, furniture and equipment after use; keep ward and stores clean.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and respond to call bells promptly.
• Assist trained staff with patient transport to theatres and to diagnostic services; accompany patients as needed.
• Record daily ward charges and update patient accounts accordingly.
