Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for the High Dependency Unit. The role focuses on providing consistent nursing care, maintaining patient comfort, and ensuring efficient ward operations within a leading private healthcare network in Malaysia.

The incumbent will participate in daily rounds, assist with patient transfers, coordinate with nurses, and help manage supplies and equipment to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Provide nursing care aligned with hospital objectives.
• Notify nursing leaders of situations affecting quality of care.
• Obtain ward reports and assignments at shift start.
• Assist in daily routines and nursing rounds to assess patient needs.
• Assist with transporting patients and visiting diagnostics and discharge areas.
• Maintain ward cleanliness and stock levels; assist with supplies.

Responsibilities

• Attend to nursing care tasks including patient comfort, safety, hygiene, admission, transfer, discharge, dressing, IV lines, catheterization, etc.
• Clean and disinfect trolley and instruments after use and store properly.
• Record daily charges for ward items and update charge tickets.
• Maintain intake and output records for each patient.
• Assist consultants in procedures and rounds in absence of trained nurses.
