Job summary

VS Industry Bhd, Johor, is seeking a Commodity / Sourcing Specialist to lead a commodity team in end-to-end sourcing activities and ensure BOM cost submissions align with timelines and budgets for EMS/manufacturing projects.

The role requires strong negotiation and analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and the ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver cost-efficient sourcing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies / Administration, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within EMS or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of BOM, RFQ, supplier management, and cost structure analysis.
• Good negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Willing to work in Senai, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Lead a commodity team in sourcing activities from initiation to completion for assigned projects, ensuring BOM cost submissions meet timelines and budget requirements.
• Supervise RFQ processes, cost studies, comparisons, and analyses; prepare supplier allocation proposals and coordinate new vendor setup activities.
• Strategically plan and execute RFQ events; participate in cost negotiations to achieve the most cost-effective solutions and support annual cost reduction initiatives.
• Attend internal and external meetings with customers to ensure all stakeholder and customer requirements are fulfilled.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze and monitor commodity market trends to support sourcing decisions.
