Job summary

Agilent is seeking a procurement professional to centrally manage global material sourcing and ensure uninterrupted supply for worldwide operations. The role includes coordinating NPI material sourcing with R&D, maintaining supplier relationships, and optimizing inventory in SAP environments.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of procurement experience, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• 3–6 years procurement/supply management experience; preferably with experience in sourcing direct or indirect materials.
• Experience with SAP and Ariba, procurement analytics to evaluate inventory levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently to achieve results.
• Fluent in English language both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

1. Proactively manage the procurement of materials from a global supply base. These materials are distributed to various locations to support the worldwide requirements. The primary responsibility of this position is managing the assurance of supply of these materials. Accountability is from product introduction through product obsolescence.
2. Assure the procurement and inventory management of high technology or life sciences production materials, equipment and/or services in accordance with supply chain optimization and management objectives.
3. Coordinate material sourcing for new product introduction (NPI) projects, in collaboration with R&D. Establish and manage supplier relationships including prices, monitoring supplier performance, selecting/analyzing the supply base and developing and executing the commodity plans.
4. Assurance of Supply and Supplier Relationships:Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with suppliers.Set clear delivery expectations and manage to these expectations.Manage the material forecasting to suppliers.Expedite to ensure continual flow of materials.
5. Material and Order Management:Analyze MRP for accuracy and provide feedback to Planning.Determine the order release methodology to be used to control orders.Establish and maintain SAP part parameters. (Material Master, Source List, Information Records and Inventory Controls).Resolve material disruptions issues. Complete a root cause analysis.Develop and implement inventory management plans for assigned parts.Manage inventory accuracy for consignment materials used for subcontracted assemblies at suppliers' locations.Maintain purchase order regulatory compliance (SOX compliance).Maintain cost standards and analyze variances in SAP.Effectively manage part piece price. (e.g. volume discounts, payment terms, process improvements).
6. Work closely with global counterparts to meet operational needs. Participate in the development and implementation of the commodity strategy.

Qualifications

• Typically, 3~6 years procurement/supply management experience; preferably with experience in sourcing direct or indirect materials.
• Experienced in SAP, Ariba, procurement, analytical skills/tools to evaluate inventory levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills and is able to work independently to achieve desired results.
• Fluent in English language both spoken and written.
