Job summary

Axiom in Perai, Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Commodity Analyst Indirect to lead sourcing strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization across indirect spend categories in Perai, Malaysia. You will support RFQ processes, perform spend data analysis, assist in negotiations and contract execution, and monitor supplier performance with internal stakeholders to drive value and compliance.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in materials or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support RFQ process, price analysis, and supplier selection for indirect spend categories
• Conduct data analysis on spend, pricing trends, and cost drivers
• Assist in negotiations and contract execution with selected suppliers
• Maintain and monitor supplier performance and delivery compliance
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (operations, engineering, finance) to clarify requirements
• Support cost savings, cost avoidance, and inventory optimization initiatives
• Analyze and report commodity risks, market trends, and sourcing opportunities
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and processes

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
