Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to test, inspect, and ensure installation and operation meet design specs and project requirements. You will collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to verify performance and support successful product delivery.

Responsibilities include on-site commissioning of mechanical, electrical, or control systems, troubleshooting faults, and preparing detailed test reports for handover and client training.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Engineering required.
• Knowledge of PLC, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and electronics.
• Familiar with QA, maintenance and operation of chemical mixing and distribution systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Commissioning Engineer is responsible for testing, inspecting, and ensuring that systems and equipment are installed, configured, and operating according to design specifications and project requirements. This role involves working with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to verify system performance, troubleshoot issues, and support successful product delivery.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform commissioning, testing, and start-up activities for mechanical, electrical, or control systems.
• Verify equipment installation meets design drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Conduct functional performance tests on equipment, electrical panels, fire protection, or industrial equipment.
• Identify and troubleshoot system faults, defects, or non-conformances.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project managers during commissioning phases.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, test reports, and checklists.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project procedures.
• Assist in system calibration, adjustments, and optimization. Support handover processes, including training clients or operators on system use.
• Participate in site inspections, audits, and punch-list resolution.
• Complying with all company rules and regulation including all safety guidelines as well as customer’s regulation as per key performance indicator stated.
• Ensure that injury-free environment by maintaining zero accident, zero incident and zero environmental accident by follow all safety compliance.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess minimum a Diploma/Cert in Engineering/others.
• The personal must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
• Other applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.
• Mechanical, instrument and electronics component.
• Familiar with QA, Maintenance and Operation of chemical mixing and distribution system is preferable.
• Knowledge of maintenance service activities.
• business – product and services.
• Programmable Logic Control, electrical, mechanical, instrument, electronic and Environment Health and Safety.
• Familiar with Emergency Response Team (ERT) responsibilities.
• Ability to travel both domestic and internationally
