Job summary

Mindteck Software Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an engineering professional to support complex power projects, deliver technical solutions, and mentor junior engineers. You will act as the liaison between Project Managers and the engineering team to plan and direct work.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (master’s preferred), 2–6 years in power projects, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; master's preferred.
• 2–6 years of experience in power/project engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Creo and MS Project is preferred.
• Familiarity with high voltage equipment and protective relays.
• Strong planning, ISO 9001 quality practices, and ISO 31000 risk processes.

• Mentor junior engineers and engineering interns.
• Serve as liaison for Project Managers to plan and direct work.
• Assess project engineering input and identify technical risks.

Job description

Provide engineering to support complex projects, provide technical solution/proposal,

Mentor junior engineers and engineering interns,

Be the key conduit and liaison for Project Managers to plan and direct works for the more junior engineers in support of project goals,

Assess a project for required engineering input,

Identify and manage technical risk within a project,

Develop an engineering delivery plan appropriate to the project’s needs,

Work with other engineers towards the delivery of other projects as necessary,

Interface with customers and sub-suppliers on engineering matters,

Interface with construction and commissioning teams on technical matters

Preferred Qualification:

A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field (master's degree preferred).

Extensive experience in previous power projects (power generation, green energy, distribution, substation, high voltage, switchgear, mining, rail, defense, heavy industry or similar),

Create, review and critique designs, commissioning test plans, procedures, and reports,

Adhere to ISO 9001 quality work practices,

Assess engineering risks in accordance with ISO 31000,

Develop and maintain engineering deliverable plans while tracking task progress for their team as a key conduit for the Project Management team,

Self-managed, good planning and organization skills

Project task planning and basic project management skills,

Good written and verbal communication skills,

A current driver's license,

Previous experience with diesel engines

AutoCAD, Creo, and/or MS Project experience

Familiarity with electrical protection relays and high voltage equipment

Work Experience Required: 2-6 Years
